Fact and Opinion Writing - My Neighbourhood

WALT understand the difference between fact and opinion.

Write two informative pieces about your neighbourhood (Panmure, Glen Innes, Point England etc).  In the first box, use opinions to guide your writing.  In the second box, use facts.  The two should both ‘sound formal.’

Opinion Mt Wellington is the only neighbourhood that Sylvia Park,which means Mt Wellington has the most uniquest shopping mall in Auckland.Mt Wellington is also the cleanest neighourhood in Auckland,when you drive past Mt Wellington you can see the neatest neighbourhood. In Panmure everything is always colorful.In Panmure they have alot of a exclusive schools.Panmure has the most amazing swimming pools big or small any knid of pools you like Panmure has it.

Fact Did you know that panmure roundabout is New Zealand famous most people around the world know that roundabout. Did you know that Glen Innes is close to the tamaki river, were it is peaceful and were people love to go for walks.

for inquiry this term our class Is learnt about state of matter.i have founded out many things about the density liquids gases solids. and how matter of particular substances change when the temperature is changed.

an example of this would be water when frozen water become a solid because it turn into ice when at room temperature water is a liquid when its’ heated water becomes gas as it is steam. another example would be chocolate. from learning about states of matter i know that different materials have different densities. however not everyone knows what density means! density is how tightly or closely the particles of a material are? i no that from our particle layer party experiment that honey and golden syrup are denser water and methylated spirit!

i like learnt about matter because its’ interesting and helps me better understand the ways thing worked?

PMI Reflection- - Aspirations and Inspirations

The positives about this Topic is getting to know more inspirational people and getting to know what their job is all about which is really cool to learn about.I enjoy how we got to meet Constable john Maea-brown.I really learned a lot on being a police and I learned that honesty is the best policy,if you try to lie please be honest because you wouldn’t feel good about yourself that you were lying about something.Getting to learn about food was so cool because My dream was to open a restaurant and I was going to name  it

JENNIFER’S FOOD because I like to eat food and make delicious food so I really learned a lot from Maria hunts.

I just wish I get to focus more on my future and dream instead of thinking what college I am going to because if you prepare for your future now you wouldn’t have problems in the future.First I want to be a doctor but when Maria hunts came into the class I had changed my mind on being a doctor in being a professional chef.

The thing I found Interesting is that if you want to be a che have a good taste in food and enjoy cooking food .if you Don’t like police or any kind of job join it because you will stop hating it and you will start liking it your hates of that job will be all gone.If want to chase your dream don’t be scared to chase after it because nothing will stop you from getting what you want.
